Traditionally urbanisation has meant the loss of green spaces in cities, which has a negative impact on water, air, soil, biodiversity, human health and the climate. A sustainable future needs sustainable cities; and this is where green infrastructure and nature-based solutions (NBS) can play a role and bring green elements into everyday urban living.
